There can be a lot of reasons for this: this is the incorrect installation of drivers that conflict with the hardware of the computer, the breakdown of individual components, software that is not properly optimized for the capabilities of your configuration, or an ordinary virus attack. Reinstalling Windows is not always the best way out of this situation, since it will inevitably lead to the loss of all data, drivers, programs and applications located on the system drive (and not only on it).

Even if you took care of the security of the operating system in advance and saved a stable copy of Windows by creating an “Access Point”, this by no means guarantees that it will not disappear in the future. This trouble can occur for the following reasons:

1. Various utilities for optimizing and cleaning the system, such as Ccleaner or FreeSpace, can “demolish” the access point, mistaking it for unnecessary trash. To prevent this from happening, it is best to configure them (utilities) yourself. The System Volume Information folder must be added to the exceptions.
2. If your hard drive is running on a FAT 32 or FAT system, then the "Restore Point", unfortunately, will not be saved, since these systems, in principle, do not save information about the changes made.
3. Some laptops, being disconnected from the network, in order to save energy, can automatically delete information about "Access Points".

How to do system restore through bios?

The huge advantage of this method is the successful recovery of the system even in the most difficult cases, the main thing is that the computer or laptop turns on.
Make sure you have your Windows installation disc (boot disc) handy and insert it into your drive. Now we need to enter the BIOS. When starting the computer, press the F12 key, go to the Boot -> BootDevicePriority menu - select the DVD drive in the first place if you are using a disk, if the USB flash drive is a USB HDD.

We restart the PC again, the Windows installer should now start. Often, when the PC boots up, an inscription in English pops up, which requires you to press any key to start booting from the disk. If this is not done, the computer will continue to boot in normal mode from your HDD after 10 seconds, and not from a bootable USB flash drive / disk as we need.

So, we booted from the disk and now select the "System Restore" item in the installation menu, click "Next". After that, you have to choose a restore point, it is best to use the first successful launch, but the programs you need may not have been installed there yet. Those. you will lose the programs (and data in them) that you installed after creating the restore point. Again, click "Next", now the system will be restored. System restore via command line

This method is recommended if there is no system restore point. Again, we need a boot disk with the Windows operating system. It is the one that is installed on the computer.
You can check the OS version by right-clicking on the “My Computer” icon and going to the “System” tab.
If you have a system restore point, then you just need to boot into command line mode (to do this, press the F8 key when loading the OS and select “Boot in safe mode with command line support”). Then enter the command "rstrui" and follow the instructions.

1. If the boot sector of your OS is damaged.
Type “fixboot” on the command line, press “Enter”, then type “fixmbr” and press “Enter”. Everything, the boot sector of your windows is restored, you can restart your computer in normal mode.
